What are the top 10 problems where you live right now?
Where do you live, city/state? What city/state wide problems or concerns do you have about living where you live? Which 10 issues or problems are the worst, maybe reasons why you would move somewhere else?
Problems/issues may have environmental, geographic, social, economic, cultural, historical, etc factors.
Austin sounds good!
Muskogee, Oklahoma
1. Bad street maintenance
2. Rediculously long ride on public transportation for such a small city(Call a taxi though, it’s a little more expensive, but quicker. And it pays my bills! DRIVER 61 RULES!!)
3. Too many payday loan companies (legal loan sharks-stay away from them! If you don’t have the money, YOU DON’T NEED IT! They will own you if you use them.)
4. Too many temp services, not enough employers direct hiring. Results in lower paying jobs and no benefits for a town full of people who can barely get by.
5. Too many retail stores going up. We already have a mall, we don’t need any more stores that most of the population of Muskogee cannot afford to shop at. Sure, they bring more jobs, but see #4. The ppl who work there cant afford to shop there.
6. The stoplights on 32nd St./US 69. THEY SUCK! pack a picnic lunch for your wait for a green light.
7. The Union Pacific Railroad. They like to park across the road and hop out for a sandwich or a drink at the “triangle”, (an area that has about 4 bars and a large liquor store in a 3 block radius) and laugh at all the cars that back up waiting to get to the eastside. There are only 3 ways to get past them, all involving turning about and crossing congested Main St. traffic and doubling back to get to the bypass or two narrow bridges that are also backed up. By the time you get around, the train has moved and you wasted time and gas. Not to mention the all night noise of them loading and unloading and hooking up and unhooking train cars, sounds like bombs going off sometimes.
8. Pretty Hospital, they just built on to it and renovated it, it is alot bigger and very expensive looking. But you still have to wait at least 8 hours for ER care. More room and prettier surroundings does not equal more healthcare personel. I drive to Wagoner for all my needs. Tiny Hospital, but you are never there for more than 3 hours.
9. Super Wal Mart built right down the road from me now. Need I say more.
10. Tweakers, crackheads and slumlords. Oh my!
